The surf
Costa Rica has two main surf seasons. From October to April, it's the dry season, when the water is warm and the waves are friendly and less powerful. The green season from May to August is also known as the wet season. That's the SW and W swells keep it surfable every day. There are waves for all surfing levels during this time of year.

The lodge
We are located a hundred meters from the white sand beach of Santa Teresa, home to one of the most consistent surf breaks in the world. Relax to the max in one of our many hammocks, enjoy fresh Imperial, meet new people, catch super energizing yoga classes and wake up to perfect surf every morning.
You can stay in all our teakwood treehouse cabins with private bathrooms and balconies, furnished apartments with air conditioning and private kitchens, or shared dorm rooms and a community kitchen.
All accommodations feature a private bathroom and shower, orthopedic mattresses, refrigerators in the rooms, fans or AC, daily cleaning services and free coffee for guests.
The lodge has a reception office, parking, wifi and a security guard. Don Jon's Surf and Yoga Lodge offers a nice relaxing, fun and safe atmosphere surrounded by beautiful natural wildlife. We also have our own delicious restaurant that serves hearty breakfast dishes, made always and only with the freshest ingredients.

Surfing is what made Santa Teresa into the dreamy coastal destination it is today. Waves are consistently beautiful to watch and ride. Frequent tide shifts create optimal surf opportunities for beginners to experts throughout the day. Don Jon's Surf and Yoga Lodge is a family business. Jon stumbled upon the tiny fishing village while on a surf adventure back in 2005. It took only a month of relaxing along the rich coast for him to know that it was the place where he was meant to stay, live and relax to the max.
Jon brought his family to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, to think about starting a lodging business. His family – Jeison, his brother, and Stephan and Adriana, his parents – came to visit and immediately fell in love with the charm and simple ways of Santa Teresa.
Don Jon's Surf and Yoga Lodge immediately took off and has been a labor of love ever since. Years of creativity and dedication went into the building of the unique, all-teakwood cabins.
Lodging in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, all provides unique experiences, and Jon made sure to create the most relaxing surfer’s paradise in town. He invites everyone to enjoy the beauty of Santa Teresa’s wildlife just outside their door from a cozy hammock or atop a treehouse balcony.
