The dry season is a good time for beginner and intermediate surfers. For those looking to start surfing, the best time is between April, May and the beginning of June, as the swell is smaller, making it possible to surf different breaks. For advanced surfers, the best time is between June and September, when the swell is the most consistent.

During the wet season, the best time for beginner and intermediate surfers is from October to December and February to March. January and the beginning of February are the best periods for advanced surfers, as the swells hit just before the storms.
