Costa Rica has two main surf seasons. From October to April, it's the dry season, when the water is warm and the waves are friendly and less powerful. From May to August, it's the green season, also known as the wet season. That's the SW and W swells keep it surfable every day. There are waves for all surfing levels during this time of year.
Casa Chicoulle is located on the hill, hence its dominant view of the jungle, the ocean, and its sunset. 1000m above the main road to Santa Teresa, with access to the beaches, restaurants, bars, grocery markets, and local stores.
It is not uncommon to have howler monkeys come to sleep there in the trees just above, which makes it a bit lively in the morning. Nature lovers will be delighted!!
The easiest way to get here is in a 4x4 vehicle or an ATV, as the road is not easy (lots of stones, and dirt).
Santa Teresa
There are many ways to experience Santa Teresa and we like to encourage the belief that everything is possible. So whether you choose to stay above the trees in our "Casa Arbol" or in our expansive villa, you will have peace and quiet that is hard to find down the hill.
Here we take in the sunsets from our tranquil perch above it all and know we can cruise down at any moment for a nice dinner or an early morning surf. Be sure to rent a 4x4 as the hill is no joke, especially in the rainy season! We can arrange for ATV rentals if you need and point you in the direction of all the cool things to do around Santa Teresa.
Around 10 years ago, I bought this hilltop property with my husband and began our journey of creating the Todo Es Posible (Everything is Possible) retreat. Back then, Santa Teresa was still a pretty quiet town and it has certainly come to life over the years.
What’s great about our location is that we are just up the hill from the center of town with fantastic ocean and sunset views and none of the noise down below.
