You and the sea

This coast is the perfect place to practice surfing. With world-class waves, it is considered by many as the king location of extreme sport. Ericeira has 7 world-class waves that allow beginners and advanced surfers to enjoy their time in the water.

It has beautiful beach breaks, like Sao Julião beach and Foz do Lizandro, with a fantastic landscape and powerful waves. These spots can be found south of the hotel but very close by.

Right in front of the hotel, we have Sul beach, which has a mix of sandy and rocky areas that protect the swell’s energy, providing a great surf for all levels. When the swell is bigger, we can have a great surf session by the Pescadores beach.

North of us, there is another spot called Matadouro beach, with rocky bottoms and gentle waves. We have one very emblematic wave called Ribeira d’ilhas, and Coxos which is a super powerful wave. Another spot like Ribeira is São Lourenço.

We are the ideal place for those looking for surf lessons. Ericeira is a world surfing reserve, perfect for both beginner and advanced level surfers. The “waves and lines” with its team of friendly and highly qualified teachers is our partner school.

You and the sea is a hotel with 35 apartments, from studios to four-bedroom apartments, ideal for those looking for a sea-shore experience with all amenities of city life. Perfect for accommodating friends and family. The living rooms also allow having more people in the sofa beds. Kitchens are fully equipped, and there are private terraces with outdoor furniture.

The first impression of anyone entering You and the sea Hotel and Apartments will be the feeling that this is a different world. A small reception area takes you to an ample space where the Jangada restaurant, a room with a cozy fireplace, overlooks the sea and the seasonal swimming pool. During the winter, only glass separates Jangada from the garden facing the sea.

Our facilities include: restaurant, bar, garden, direct access to the beach, heated indoor pool, meeting room, spa with Turkish bath and sauna, gym, children's playground, lift, car park with a charging system for electric cars, bike rental, pet friendly (pet always stay subject to availability, on request and subject to pet fee).

Activities

We offer a well-equipped gym for those who want to keep fit, even on rest days. The spa, with massages, steam room, and sauna, offers a relaxing space for those who really want to rest. We must not forget the space created just for children to play and release their energy.

Restaurant

The Jangada Restaurant, Infame’s youngest brother in Lisbon, is an open space for everyone. With a relaxed and familiar atmosphere, an open kitchen, and a superb view of the sea. We only deal with fresh and authentic flavors, which preserve the origin and diversity of the products. That is the essence of the menu - all developed by André Rebelo, our executive chef. The dishes encompass regional and sea-inspired flavors.

SUP Programs

The standup paddle has origin coming from the Hawaiian Islands. In the early 1960s, the boys at Waikiki Beach gave the term “beach boy surfing” when they were on vacation with canoeing to take pictures for those who learned to surf. We offer different programs,

• River Tour: Exploring the river while learning how to do this sport. We take you to explore the fauna and flora of the beautiful landscape of the Lizandro river.
• Ocean Tour: For those who want to get to know the World Surfing Reserve, we take you to feel the power of the Atlantic sea, just for sailing or catching the adrenaline of the waves.

Surf lessons

We work in partnership with a Surf School called Waves n Lines which in turn has very dedicated professionals with a huge passion for the sea. The surf lessons are divided by private or group classes (maximum of 6 persons per teacher) and prices are different for adults or children.
