The surf
Playa Venao is an exposed beach break that has very consistent surf. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. The waves at the beach break both left and right. The best surf conditions is around mid-tide when the tide is falling. Playa Venao is a popular wave that can get crowded. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.

Looking towards the extensive Azuero Peninsula, Selina Playa Venao faces the beach surrounded by palm trees and the best sunsets in the Pacific. We have a well-equipped shared kitchen, a restaurant and a yoga deck facing the sea.
If you want to take advantage of the morning, after doing yoga and breakfast, buy a day pass and go to the CoWork, which is designed for our visitors to work with high-speed wifi in a comfortable and inspiring environment. For the afternoon, choose from a variety of activities such as surfing, horseback riding and windsurfing, always with our Shokogi Surf Club instructors. At night, come to the garden where you can stay in a hammock, near the fire pit, where there is live music and DJ sets.

Selina Surf Club will take you to the best places to learn to surf with top-notch equipment and friendly surf professionals. Try kitesurfing or take your skills to the next level with beginner, intermediate and expert surf lessons.
Need a break from the water? Yoga is an option, or you can zip line through the jungle or explore the hidden white sand islands of nearby Iguana Island. If you are lucky enough to be here between July and October, join us on a whale-watching tour. Humpback whales pass through here during their migration season, and Venao is one of the best places to see them.
