From Jeffrey’s Bay to Skeleton Bay and everything in between, South Africa has everything to offer when it comes to surf adventure and discovery. Our country offers enjoyment for every kind of surfer with rolling beach breaks for beginners to spitting sand bottom barrels, firing point breaks and some of the biggest paddle-in waves in the world.
There are some icy waters (14°C/57F - 17°C/63F) and wild elements to be experienced around Cape Town and I would recommend a 4/3 hooded wetsuit and booties for your comfort in and around the water.
You will be exposed to some of the most radical elements and experience a variety of the world's most unique plants and animals while searching for waves in South Africa. Being an experienced surf guide with a background in professional surfing and water safety, I will always keep an eye on you.
There are waves for all levels of surfers. Whether you are inexperienced and looking for something playful to surf, or frothing to backdoor the barrels of your life - we will work together with the wind, tide and swell to find your perfect wave!
Your African Surfari awaits - Let's go!
If you need help arranging accommodations, we can assist you. We recommend the On The Rox Guest Beach House. This property lies sleepily under the Klein-Hangklip mountains. It is a sanctuary from hurried city life where you will experience the ocean and mountains, surrounded by waves, rocks and fynbos.
On The Rox is an idyllic beach house location, 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and an hour from Cape Town city center. Breakfast and home-cooked dinners will be provided to guests.
