Amazing surf in Honolulu

"Our family has been surfing on these beaches for generations, and we want you to experience the beauty of riding the best waves in the world. Ride the waves where ancient Hawaii's kings, queens, and princesses surfed."

The surf

Peak swell
Variable swell

Summertime, from June to August, is primetime for Honolulu and Waikiki. South swells light up the area’s myriad reefs, providing long walls. Conditions can range from overhead barrels at spots like Ala Moana to beautiful rollers, perfect for longboard cruising.

Late-season south swells keep the surf fun and playful throughout most of the fall from September to November. This is a perfect time to sneak around Diamond Head and see what you can find. Combo swells can make for enjoyable surf out there this time of year and the winds may be a bit calmer.

Things start to pick up in the spring on the South Shore between March and May. Early season south swells begin to make an appearance making for some fun days of surf.

From December to February, Waikiki is an amazing place to escape the big waves of the North Shore and slow things down a little bit. But, because Honolulu and Waikiki only work on a south swell, don’t expect too much more than wind swell pumps and minor, longboard-style waves.

Surfing runs in the Moniz Family! As one of Hawaii’s surf families, we enjoy passing on our love for people and surfing by teaching you right at our home break. Older brothers Micah and Isaiah are carrying on the family tradition with their certification as Hawaii’s finest surf instructors, along with mom and dad.

Sister and two-time surfing World Champion Kelia travels the world with Roxy surfing waves and modeling. In addition, younger brothers and Billabong sponsored surfers Josh and Seth are competing on the Qualifying Series Tour of Professional surfers, traveling together and supporting one another throughout the competition.

Together, this surfing family is honored to share our passion with the world as we teach, surf, and travel.
