Huntington Beach has a year-round surf season as there are waves all year long. From September to March, wintertime, the north swells come through and they are generally bigger and more consistent. During this season, the waves are predominantly rights.

From April to September, we have the south swells and they are usually peaky. Prime swells are a mix of north and south to give peaks.

If you need surf equipment, we will be able to offer it at an additional cost. We have soft boards, shortboards, wetsuits, leashes, whatever you need - just let us know.

The adventure

This adventure will take you to the Surf City of Huntington Beach, California. You will get the local treatment in the surf capital of the US as Teddy has local knowledge of the area and knows all the right people and spots to provide you with an unforgettable experience.

Guaranteed you're going to get some good waves, no matter your surf level, you're set up with the best.

Transportation will be happening on a Tundra or a van, depending on the group size. It is also possible to move around in the brand new free shuttle HB Circuit, a great option to cruise around the community.

In Huntington Beach, there are a lot of things to do that are within walking distance. Spend a day visiting the great surf museum from the early 1900s and the walk of fame.

There are a lot of dining options in the city, such as açaí bowls and smoothies, coffee shops, sandwiches shops, or whatever you feel like eating after amazing surf sessions. Nightlife is huge with Bungalow and Pacific City. There is a great food and drink variety, everything you could wish for within walking distance.

Accommodation

There are some great hotel options in the region with great locations, walking distance from main interest points. We usually recommend the Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, and the Paseá Hotel & Spa.

Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort

Located in Main Street, this surfer-stylish, beachfront base camp awaits. At this boutique Huntington Beach hotel, you will be situated just steps from the hottest sand in Surf City, USA, as well as at the epicenter of the Main Street scene. Inside the property, a relaxed, coastal vibe is created through spirited interior design, an open-air patio with cozy firepits, elevated beach-chic dining at our Pacific Hideaway restaurant, and spacious, airy accommodations, many offering views of the Huntington Beach Pier.

Paséa Hotel & SPA

A modern oceanfront oasis located just steps from the Huntington Pier, in the heart of Surf City. This is a great option for those traveling with a family or with kids, as it has a swimming pool, a variety of great restaurants, a SPA, and other amenities for the non-surfers members of your party.

Teddy Navarro

Teddy Navarro was born and raised in southern California and lived in Huntington Beach for 25 years. Winner of 2 US Amateur titles Men/Open Men at 17 and turned professional shortly after. Since then, he continued to live his dream of surfing, traveling and creating remarkable content.

Outdoor action is his cup of tea. He loves looking for good waves to surf/film and chasing pretty sunrises/sunsets with his drone or camera.

Teddy is a father of 2 active surfers, foundation advocate as he has been running a community outreach for ten years, the Mauli Ola Foundation.

Mauli Ola Foundation

Teddy is a philanthropist, being a volunteer in The Mauli Ola Foundation, which is a charitable organization founded in 2008 to promote awareness of genetic disease and support for patients. One of the Foundation’s programs is Surf Experience Days, which pairs professional surf instructors and novice surf students with Cystic Fibrosis to introduce them to the healing properties of exercise, ocean air, achievement, and fun in a supportive environment.

Hypertonic saline (prevalent in the ocean air just above the water’s surface) is a natural treatment for people with Cystic Fibrosis.
